Hail, brave riders of the rails and conquerors of the coasters!

The longships are ready, the mead is chilling, and Odin has personally approved the itinerary (he only complained about the lack of ravens on the rides). Next summer, the clan gathers again for the legendary Summerfest!

Why do we gather?

Five winters have passed since ACE Europe raised its banner! That’s five years of surviving cold coasters, warm beer and questionable ride-operator announcements. Such a feat demands a feast. And since “a nice dinner” is not how Vikings celebrate, we are charging across the north again. As legends demand. And as our spouses have stopped asking questions.

The tribute
Price:

(sacrifice of silver required, no goats accepted)

New this year: the tribute is paid in three installments. We know that life gets more expensive every season. Even the gods are complaining about the price of mead. So we spread the pain like a true shield wall:

• First payment of 750€: within 2 weeks after you swear your oath (sign-up). Yes, swearing is allowed, even encouraged.
• Second payment of 1000€: in February, when the long dark winter has finally made you desperate for summer
• Final payment of the rest of the amount (Depends on the amount of people joining our Vikingtrip): before the 5th of April. No, the Norns will not accept “the check is in the mail.”

Should the winds of fate turn against you, you may withdraw and claim a refund until the end of February. After that, the oath is sealed in blood (and, more practically, in the bank).

The war band
75 warriors, one mighty coach. Yes, we all fit. No, you cannot bring your own horse.

Departure: from Amsterdam or Copenhagen
Arrival: in Oslo (Sunday Morning) or Amsterdam (The optional transport by viking longboat: a further sea voyage from Oslo to Kiel for those who just can’t get enough of the waves (and the buffet)and coach back to Amsterdam (Arrival on Monday!)

Included in the tribute: park entries, ferry crossing from Denmark to Sweden, lodging in halls (hotels) along the way, and your Trip T-shirt and Polo, the battle colors of the clan. Because even a Viking should look good while screaming on a drop tower. Helmets with horns are not included. Historically inaccurate anyway.

Only 75 seats on the coach, so sign up before the benches are filled and you are left standing on the shore, waving sadly at a departing longship. Currently the ACE Europe Region has booked 30 double rooms and 15 single rooms.
